Infatuated by saturday morning Kung Fu cinema, Nelson fell in love with several forms of Kung Fu and Wu Shu and discontinued his training in JKD. With short stints in Wing Chun and Shaolin Five Animal, he is well versed in the martial arts. "Nico", as he's sometimes called, has a perfect amateur boxing record of 18-0 and showed his effectiveness as a striker with 16 by way of knockout. Now a part of the Jeet Kune Do Institute in central Florida, Nico is the developer of a hybrid style involving Bruce Lee's JKD and Eddie Bravo's 10th Planet.
